THE UPSIDE OF CONFLICT

Monday, October 7, 2019, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Mayo Civic Center

Rochester MN Show on Map

Fee: Registration takes place through Associations North

Conflict tends to be coined as negative. While it can be, it doesn't have to be. In reality, without conflict, it is not possible to build trust, build cohesion, hold team members accountable or solve problems in a relevant and sustainable way. But just like everything else in your organization, it has to start at the top. This workshop is geared toward executives, board members, and leadership teams where they will learn the role they play as leaders in whether or not healthy conflict is alive and well in your organization. Attendees will learn about the Four Elements of Healthy Conflict and how to leverage conflict for the benefit of your organization and your people.

Objectives:

  • Be introduced to the four elements of a healthy conflict perspective.

  • Learn about the relationship between conflict and trust.

  • Learn what conflict-competent leadership looks like.

  • Observe how powerful questions change the tone, focus and accountability in discussions

  • Experience a shift in thinking as a starting place for shifting culture

Bring your conflict or subversive conflict scenarios for discussion.
